    Hello, I'm Mico Wuppermann.

I am a professional singer, songwriter, and producer. I started playing electric bass in my first band when I was 9 years old, some years later I concentrated on singing.

In 2008 I discovered my love for gospel music at a gospel workshop with Ingrid Arthur. Meanwhile, I am assistant choir director and lead the youth choir in an American community in Berlin-Zehlendorf.

I started writing songs in 2009, sang 2012 at the "Bald ist dein Geld meins"-release party of the rapper UFO361.

From 2013 I studied music production at the SRH University of Popular Arts (HdpK) and gained a lot of experience in the music scene of Berlin in the past years.

From 2015 to 2019 I was a member of the ensemble of the jazz choir "Young Voices Brandenburg" under the direction of Prof. Marc Secara.

Since 2018 I publish under the artist name m!co:
my songs are influenced by American and German rap on the one hand, and soul, jazz, and gospel on the other. Meanwhile, I'm working on my new project "The Blessing" - Gospel in German - strongly influenced by Hip Hop and Rap, a project that wants to spread the good news in a world where negative reporting, hate, and violence get a lot of attention and often trigger comparable counter-reactions.

I teach vocal coaching, songwriting, and audio production.
I speak fluent English, my mother tongue is German.
