Six weekly 90-min classes on Wednesdays, from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm, starting on April 7, 2021

This course is for people with some experience.

We'll explore the vast possibilities of the frame drum in different playing styles, practice group playing and accompanying the melody, work on the rhythmic development - enrichment of the inner pulse, focus, timing, composing, and improvising. All in an accessible way, step-by-step, according to one's own rhythm.
The frame drum is one of the oldest percussion instruments on earth. Playing on it has something very archaic, earthy, and meditative, and at times very energetic when accompanying fast dances.

Various holding positions allow for a wide variation in play. By playing with hands, fingers, and mallets we can produce a colorful sound spectrum.

My Frame Drum courses are spiced with the body and vocal percussion. This is a light, humorous, and relaxed way to adapt to a creative way of rhythm.

Finally, we will enjoy the free play on the frame drum in a drum circle. Pure energy and the pure joy of life!

No experience necessary. I understand my offer as a "door opener" for beginners, amateurs, and rhythm enthusiasts.

You need to bring your own frame drum.
Frame drums are also available for rent for a small fee, and high-quality frame drums are for sale at an affordable price. Please let us know upfront if you can't bring your own instrument.
